Powered by a 500 watt motor, this blender mix classic margaritas and smoothies, mixes soups and sauces, fruits and vegetables, chops, grinds coffee beans and nuts, grates cheese and coconut, and crushed ice. The mixer has a high speed and low speed control pulse, which can be held down for continuous action. Its 40 ounces rib-and-tapered glass container fits Oster distinctive beehive-shaped base, which is clad in polished chrome rubber feet and include a means test. Its stainless-steel blade assembly removes for cleaning, and the container is calibrated in ounces and two liters. Fully assembled, the mixer is 16 cm in height on a 7-1/4-inch-diameter. With the exception of the dishwasher, security glass container, all parties – including the plastic lid with its plastic 2-ounce measuring insert – require hand washing.
